Virginia Tech makes the big plays and makes the big stops as it overcomes losing star RB Branden Ore on his 1st carry of the game. Wake Forest manages just 259 yards against the Hokies' defense.

Meanwhile, Sean Glennon hits Eddie Royal with a 49-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter, and then Josh Morgan for a 53-yard TD pass in the 3rd quarter. Xavier Adibi delivers the knockout blow returning a fumble 35 yards for a TD and 24-6 lead late in the 3rd quarter.
