Texas A&M preserves victory when Fresno State's 2-point attempt to force a 4th OT falls incomplete. The Aggies had gone ahead on their possession when Javorskie Lane scores on a 3-yard run, and then adds the 2-point conversion. Lane rushes for 121 yards and scores 2 of his 4 TDs in the OTs.

Fresno State answered Lane's final TD when Tom Brandstater hits Bear Pascoe with a 9-yard TD pass. Branstater had hit Pascoe with a 3-yard TD pass w/ :05 left in regulation to force OT. Lane had given Texas A&M a 29-22 lead with a 5-yard TD run w/ 1:52 remaining.

Brandstater goes 21-of-31 for 260 yards and 3 TDs, while the Aggies' Stephen McGee throws for 79 yards and 1 TD, while running for 124 yards.
