Kentucky's potential clinching FG turns into near disaster. Lonas Seiber's 33-yard FG attempt is blocked in the final minute, allowing Middle Tennessee State one last desperate attempt to rally. And the Wildcats are barely saved when Robbie McAtee tackles Eldred King at the 1-yard line as the 61-yard completion falls just feet short as time runs out.

Kentucky had rallied from a 14-10 deficit in the 4th quarter when Mike Hartline hits Derrick Locke for a 6-yard TD pass and then Seiber hits a 25-yard FG. Hartline goes 28-of-47 for 254 yards and 2 TDs. MTSU's Joe Craddock throws for 352 yards and 2 TDs, but comes up 1 yard and 1 TD short of the upset.
