Gophers rally to nip the Huskies 31-27.

Duane Bennett scores on a 1-yard TD run with :22 left in the game, and then Minnesota stops Northern Illinois' desperate comeback attempt. The Huskies had erased a 24-13 deficit in the 3rd quarter, with a pair of long TD passes from Chandler Harnish to Nathan Palmer.

Minnesota had broken a 10-10 halftime tie with Adam Weber's 53-yard TD pass to Jack Simmons, and Bennett's 61-yard TD run opens a 24-13 lead. However, Northern Illinois closes the gap when Harnish and Palmer connect on a 91-yard TD pass. Then they give the Huskies the lead with a 52-yard TD hookup w/ 8:09 left in the game.

Harnish finishes 17-of-29 for 326 yards with Palmer catching 3 passes for 170 yards. Weber throws for 298 yards for the Gophers, with Eric Decker catching 10 for 89 yards and 1 TD.
