Jon Hoese (Minnesota) scores on a pair of TD runs and a TD catch to lead the Out-State squad, while claiming the MVP honors after catching 6 passes for 123 yards. Dan Dobson (Minnesota-Duluth) and Spencer Ohm (Concordia College) combine for 213 yards passing for Out-State.

Metro's Joe Springer (Brown), throws for 171 yards and 1 TD, and puts Metro in front 7-0 with a 11-yard TD pass to Ben Zachary. But Hoese answers with a 2-yard TD, followed by a 2-point conversion. Hoese adds a 8-yard TD pass from Ohm to extend the lead to 21-7. After Springer scores on an 8-yard run, Hoese seals the win with a 1-yard TD run in the 4th quarter.
