Coldwater Cavaliers prevail 31-21 over Versailles in a battle of lower division powerhouses.

Coldwater, ranked #1 in Division 4, grabs the immediate lead and forces the rival Tigers, ranked #1 in Divison 5, to chase throughout. Steve Borger hits Devin Swarzel with a 10-yard TD on the 3rd play of the game. The teams begin trading scores, with Versailles tying it 14-14 on Tony McNeilan's 67-yard TD pass to Stephen Winner.

The Cavaliers then score the next 17 points building a 31-14 lead. Borger goes 12-of-17 for 240 yards and 4 TDs, while star RB/LB Ross Homan (Ohio State) runs for 121 yards.

Matt Murphy's 17-yard TD run pulls the Tigers to within 31-21 but they can get no closer. McNeilan throws for 284 yards and adds a TD run, while Winner catches 8 for 176 yards.
