Hastings Raiders hold off the Mounds View Mustangs for 34-26 victory.

Jerad Stewart and Kevin Lauer are able to overshadow Mounds View's star QB Adam Weber. Stewart, who is headed to Mankato State as an all-state hockey player, runs for 197 yards and 3 TDs for Hastings. Lauer proves to be a nemesis for the Mustangs. Lauer records 2 sacks, blocks 1 PAT and 1 FG.

Stewart opens the scoring w/ a 53-yard TD run. When Weber, who is headed to Minnesota, responds with a 2-yard TD pass to Jordan Moberg, Lauer blocks the PAT to preserve Hastings' lead. Then repeats it when Mounds View attempts a FG. Lauer then pads the lead w/ a 7-yard TD run set up by a 29-yard run by Stewart. Stewart later adds a pair of 3-yard TD runs giving Hastings a 28-12 lead.

Weber won't give up, hitting 19-of-26 for 274 yards and 4 TDs. Maurice Turner (Northern Iowa) has 11 catches for 176 yards and 2 TDs. Weber's 3rd TD, a 19-yarder to Moberg cuts it to 28-20.

However, Hastings QB Jake Kranz (St. Cloud State) hits Preston Steinke for a 43-yard TD pass to keep the lead from slipping away. Kranz completes 8-of-12 for 94 yards.

Mounds View also features OT/DT Brandon Hoey, who is Wisconsin-bound.
