Andre Anderson (Tulane) rushes 31 times for 158 yards and 1 TD leading the Jaguars in a game stopped by lightning twice. Anderson gives Stephenson an early lead with a 5-yard TD following a bad punt snap. A fumbled center snap sets up Jeffrey Tarver's 6-yard TD run that gives the Jaguars a 13-0 lead in the 2nd quarter.

Redan cuts it to 13-6 on a 10-yard TD pass to Cedric Dixon from Bryon Ingram (Georgia Tech).

However, Stephenson's defense and Anderson's running continue to dominate.
