Staples wrecks the Ridgefield Tigers' upset bid 27-23 in a battle of unbeatens.

Tyler Kirchoff's 2-yard TD run, and catch from Noel Fahey on the 2-point try, gives Ridgefield a 23-20 lead w/ 3:50 remaining. However, D.J. Stefkovich (Rhode Island) hits Brian Levine for a 62-yard bomb on the first play after Ridgefield's score. One play later, Ryan Bohling scores from the 3-yard line, giving the Wreckers a 27-23 lead.

Bohling scored on a 2-yard TD run in the 1st quarter, giving Staples a 7-3 lead. After Andre DeRito's 32-yard FG cuts it to 7-6, Staples responds. Stefkovich connects with Brian Wrapp for a 2-yard TD pass on 4th down. Stefkovich, who goes 8-of-12 for 133 yards, also makes a key play batting a blocked punt out of the end zone for a safety to prevent a Tigers' TD late in the first half.

Stefkovich hits Levine for a 15-yard TD in the 3rd quarter for a 20-8 lead, before Ridgefield battled back.
