Elk Grove Thundering Herd rolls over Franklin for 36-15 win.

Nick Nugent rushes for 114 yards and 2 TDs, and adds a TD pass off a halfback pass. Junior QB/CB Kevin Frank (Washington State) hits all 3 pass attempts, including 1 for a TD, while rushing for 61 yards and adds 2 INTs on defense.

Franklin goes ahead 8-0 when QB/S Oscar Loza (Nevada) caps the opening drive with a 3-yard TD run, and Edward Russell (Eastern Washington) scores on the 2-point conversion. Loza adds a 3-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter that pulls the Wildcats within 22-15. Loza throws for 158 yards while Russell rushes for 117 yards.

Elk Grove draws even when Nugent scores on a 25-yard run, and Frank hits FB/LB Jordan Glass (Utah State) for a 2-point conversion. Nugent's 34-yard TD pass to Ryan Pearson puts the Herd ahead. Frank extends the lead to 22-8 with a 10-yard TD pass to Pearson.

The Herd pulls away in the 4th quarter with a 1-yard TD run by Nugent and a 40-yard TD run by RB/CB Brannon Brooks (BYU).

Elk Grove includes DT Charles Brallier (Lehigh).

Franklin includes OT Zach Waller (Boise State), CB/WR Brandyn Thompson (Boise State), and junior OG Maika Maumau (Sacramenton State).
