John Curtis Patriots rally, overpower top-ranked Hoover 28-14.

The Patriots overcome early turnovers and a 14-0 deficit to upset the USA Today's top-ranked team in the country as WR/RB Joe McKnight (USC) flashes his big-play ability, gaining 204 yards on just 8 offensive touches. McKnight scores on an 80-yard TD pass from Kyle Collura and a 45-yard TD pass.

The Bucs turn 2 turnovers into a 14-0 lead as Michael Hall scores on a 3-yard run and then Ross Wilson hits Charlie Zorn for an 18-yard TD pass. However, the tide turns as John Curtis starts rolling.

Collura's 1-yard TD starts the Patriots, and his 80-yard connection with McKnight evens it. David Seaman's 50-yard TD gives the Patriots a lead in the 3rd quarter. McKnight's final TD is the knockout blow.
