The Rebels break it open in the 2nd half, after leading 6-0 at the half. Matt Rodgers (Akron) runs for a 5-yard TD on a keeper, then scores on a 2-point conversion to open a 14-0 lead. Rodgers goes 7-of-11 for 84 yards and 1 TD.

Ed Beveridge scores on a 1-yard TD run after a blocked punt, and later returns a punt 55 yards for a TD. Beveridge rushes for 111 yards.
