Don Bosco Prep Ironmen outlast St. Joseph Prep 31-28 after wild 2nd half.

After the Hawks hold a 6-0 halftime lead a 20-yard TD run by junior Jamir Livingston (Fordham), the offenses cut loose in the 2nd half. St. Joseph Prep takes a 21-7 lead in the 4th quarter after Livingston adds a 2nd TD run, and QB/S Chris Whitney (Villanova) scrambles for a 74-yard TD run.

Don Bosco rallies when Matt Simms (Louisville) hits Orry Michael with a 14-yard TD strike and Dale Fava returns an INT 40 yards for another score. The Hawks respond when Whitney connects with Brian Brinkmann for a 60-yard TD.

The Ironmen pull even on Guy Germinario's 1-yard TD run, and then go-ahead in the closing seconds after junior Brian Hanly (Hofstra) hits an 18-yard FG after DE/OT Justin Trattou (Florida) forces a fumble.

Simms is 9-of-19 for 163 yards despite suffering a shoulder injury during the game.

St. Joseph includes OT Jeff Battipaglia (Navy) and FB/DE Neil Doogan (Navy).
