Smithson Valley wins in its typical fashion, solid fundamentals, special teams and turnovers. The Highlanders turn the ball over 6 times, with the Rangers converting 2 into 10 points. The Woodlands also contributes to its problems, committing 10 penalties.

After the Highlanders drive for a FG on the opening possession, Smithson Valley takes control. Junior Trent Rios scores on a 5-yard run. Then Travis Costanza kicks a 24-yard FG and Rios adds a 1-yard TD run w/ :24 left in the 1st half, both scores coming following turnovers.

Rios finishes with 25 carries for 108 yards.
