Overland Trailblazers hold off Fairview for 31-28 win in the 1st round of the playoffs, winning a showdown of stars.

The underdog Knights get a huge night from Arthur Jaffee (Colorado) helping to overcome the loss of their starting QB entering the game. Jaffee rushes for 261 yards and 3 TDs, often taking direct snaps at his halfback position.

However, its RB/S Jared Campbell (Miami) who gets the final big play, intercepting Jay Thompson's pass in the final minute to preserve Overland's win. Campbell rushes for 161 yards and 3 TDs on 12 carries.

Campbell and Jaffee trade off big plays throughout. After Jaffee scores on a 56-yard run on the 1st possession, Campbell answers with a 4-yard TD on a sweep. Following Jaffee's 2nd TD run, Campbell evens it with a 79-yard burst. Campbell gives the Trailblazers the lead in the 2nd half with a 5-yard TD run.

However, Fairview counters, and retakes the lead 28-21 before RB Justin Cooper (Washburn) takes a short pass from Devon Connors and sprints for a 57-yard TD. Then Overland gets the critical break when a bad snap on the PAT ends up becoming a 2-point conversion when Lance Willis beats the defense to the corner of the end zone.

Overland also includes RB Marquis Cox (Adams State) and junior OT/DT Andrew Sampson (Arizona State).
