Evangel Christian Chargers have too much firepower for Graceville, winning 49-22.

The Chargers take a 20-14 lead in the 1st half on the strength of big plays. Junior WR/DB Art Evans (Tennessee) scores first on a 47-yard TD pass from Tim Maguire. Evans later returns an INT 45 yards, one of 3 turnovers Evangel's defense forces. Sophomore Brodie Bullock returns an INT 58 yards setting up one TD, and R.R. Mackey returns another 45 yards for a TD.

The Tigers counter with sophomore J.J. Laster, who runs for 144 yards and 2 TDs before being slowed for much of the 2nd half with cramps.

Without Laster, the Chargers' defense led by Evans and DE Nathan Galan (Eastern Illinois) control Graceville in the 2nd half.

Meanwhile, junior Dominique Booker takes over rushing for 233 yards and 3 TDs.
