Muskegon Big Reds dominate Orchard Lake-St. Mary's 31-7 for their 3rd state championship.

The Big Reds trail 7-6 at the half despite dominating the 1st half, but then erupt in the 3rd quarter to blow away the Eaglets. Jason Ruud runs for 124 yards and 1 TD, while throwing for 2 TDs. Meanwhile, Muskegon's defense led by DT Terrance Taylor (Michigan) holds St. Mary's to 56 yards total offense.

Muskegon scores first on Ruud's 3-yard TD pass to Anthony Crump (Grand Valley State) w/ 2:16 left in the first quarter. However, the Eaglets take the lead on Anthony Alexander's 2-yard toss to Zack Stogdill following a fumbled lateral deep in Muskegon territory.

Ruud starts the 3rd quarter eruption with a 45-yard TD run on the 2nd play of the half, giving Muskegon a 14-7 lead. Breck Chandler follows with a 2-yard TD run on the next possession. Then Ruud hits sophomore WR/DB Ronald Johnson (USC) w/ a 31-yard TD pass, giving the Big Reds a 28-7 lead w/ 3:02 left in the 3rd quarter.
