Sheepshead Bay Sharks deny South Shore Vikings the big upset to win the PSAL Championship 13-6.

South Shore's strong defense led by junior star Parker Cantey (Syracuse) slows down Sheepshead Bay's potent offense, which averaged over 35 points per game. Sharks' RB Lamont Downing runs for 91 yards to keep the chains moving, but the Vikings stop most threats.

Kelley Pierre gives Sheepshead Bay a 7-0 lead with a 10-yard pass to Adekunl Akingba in the 1st quarter, after South Shore stopped an earlier 1st-and-goal threat.

South Shore's Tyrone Battle sets up the Vikings' score with a 42-yard run and then a 23-yard catch before Darryle Bell scores on an 11-yard run. South Shore's 2-point try fails.

The Sharks immediately responded with Daquan Thomas' 2-yard run capping the TD drive. Then Sheepshead Bay's defense denies all remaining threats by South Shore. Jarrell Stewart leads the Sharks' defense with 10 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.
