Galena Park-North Shore Mustangs roll over The Woodlands 23-7 for their 1st state championship.

The Mustangs amass 398 yards, including 345 rushing, while overwhelming the Highlanders behind the combo of Bobby Reid (Oklahoma State) and Justin McNeese. McNeese carries 27 times for 196 yards while Reid runs for 113 yards and 3 TDs, while throwing for 53 yards.

Reid caps an impressive opening drive with an 8-yard TD run. Ivan Sanchez extends the lead with a 31-yard FG and then Reid follows with a 9-yard TD run for a 17-0 lead w/ 6:52 left in the 2nd quarter.

Reid's 3-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter extends the lead to 23-0. Samson Taylor (Texas A&M) gets The Woodlands on the board finally with a 1-yard TD run w/ :34 left in the 3rd quarter. But the Highlanders can get no closer.
