Evergreen Plainsmen ride past Skyline for a 28-14 win, and championship in the first-ever finals appearance by a Vancouver school.

The Spartans grab a 14-0 lead, but Taylor Rank (South Carolina) carries Evergreen back into the game. Rank carries 29 times for 211 yards and 3 TDs, as well as making the fumble recovery to seal the outcome.

Skyline RB/LB Tyler Pelluer (Montana) starts the scoring with a 2-yard TD run, then Brett Kaluza follows with a 3-yard TD run w/ 7:55 left in the 2nd quarter.

But then Rank takes over the game, carrying 5 times for 47 yards in a momentum-building drive capped by his 5-yard TD run. After the Spartans stall out on their first drive of the 2nd half, Rank and the Plainsmen take over, controlling the 2nd half. Nick Fleck ties it with a 1-yard TD on a QB sneak. Then Rank scores on a 6-yard run after an INT, for a 21-14 lead with :15 left in the 3rd quarter.

A 92-yard drive puts the stake in Skyline when Rank covers the last 17 yards for a 28-14 lead.

Evergreen also includes CB Lonnie Holsey (Eastern Washington) and DE Greg Peach (Eastern Washington).

Skyline also includes OT Dan Johnson (Hawaii) and junior OT Cody Habben (Washington).
