Game Notes

Skyline Spartans end up victorious this time with a 35-21 win over Woodinville.

The Spartans return to the championship game, after losing in it in 2004, and claim their 2nd state championship. Jason Harris (Eastern Washington) leads the way, hitting 19-of-24 passes for 281 yards and 3 TDs, and runs for 66 yards and 2 TDs.

Harris goes 5-for-5 on Skyline's 1st drive, capping it with a 31-yard TD pass to Nick Cragin. However, the Falcons capitalize as Skyline commits a series of mistakes, botching a punt snap, muffing a punt, and losing a fumble when the shotgun snap comes early.

Woodinville goes up 14-7 on Jordan Greek's 4-yard TD pass to Drew Maloney. Skyline evens it on an 11-yard TD pass from Harris to Matt O'Connell, and then takes the lead on a 1-yard TD run by Harris set up by a 73-yard pass to Tyler Krueger.

After Skyline stretches it to 28-14 on another 1-yard TD by Harris, Woodinville cuts it back to 7 points, on after Zach Doblar throws back to the quarterback in desperation and Greek scrambles through the defense for a 21-yard TD. However, Harris and O'Connell combine on a 10-yard TD pass to seal the win.

The Spartans also include OT Cody Habben (Washington). Woodinville includes DE Aaron Lavarias (Idaho).
