Game Notes

Lancaster rallies for 17-14 win over Somerset in a battle of unbeatens, for the Flying Arrows' 5th state championship.

After the Spartans erase a 10-0 deficit, to grab the lead, John Driscoll hauls in a 31-yard TD pass from Matt French on 4th-and-6 with 3:02 remaining for the winning score. Driscoll stars, catching a 20-yard TD pass in the 2nd quarter, and also intercepting a pass.

However, Somerset overcomes 5 turnovers in the first 2 1/2 quarters, to rally. John Anderson's 2-yard TD run, and 2-point conversion at the start of the 4th quarter, pulls the Spartans to within 10-8. Then Anderson puts Somerset ahead on 1-yard TD w/ 7:12 left in the game. Anderson also accounts for 1 interception on defense. Wisconsin hockey-recruit Brandon Montpetit rushes for 126 yards as Somerset falls in the final for the second straight year.
