New Orleans breaks open a 10-10 tie with a pair of defensive TDs in the 2nd half. After Pat Swilling strips the ball from Dan Marino, Robert Goff picks it up and returns it 28 yards for a TD in the 3rd quarter. Miami cuts it to 17-13 on Pete Stoyanovich's 2nd FG. However, Marino sails a throw, and Vince Buck picks it off and returns it 34 yards for the TD in the 4th quarter.

New Orleans initially takes the lead when Dalton Hilliard sweeps around the right end for a 1-yard TD w/ 1:57 left in the 1st quarter. But Marino answers with a 2-yard TD toss to Mark Duper in the 2nd quarter, before the teams trade 3rd quarter FGs.
