Having the cylinder heads for the 5.7L Diesel ported and polished can bring around a 20% power increase..Due to the fact that this will bring more air flow into the cylinders, the engine will also be able to burn more fuel..the fuel can be turned up a bit in return which will definatly bring more life into the performance side of the engine. To complete the system, better flowing exhaust should also be considered. Exhaust is better explained in the exhaust section. Porting and Polishing is not a necessary performance upgrade, but is a good way to begin setting up an engine that might have other plans in the future. Just remember, more air, more fuel, better flow equals more power. Think about that and then take it from there.
