The General purpose of the Oldsmobile 350 Diesel wasn't for towing a boat, or pulling a stump from the ground....it was made when the gas shortage was around, generaly designed to move a 4000 lb. car at safe cruising speeds while getting excellent Fuel Economy. Which it does its job very well. so give it that!
