   When India went to England in 1996.They were on the lookout for a young
talented left handed batsman.Saurav came into the spot because he was
an allrounder.But mainly for his batting saurav has already gained
an important spot in the team.
On the off side saurav is a delight to watch.His timing of his off side shots
is just exquisite.He initially had a problem in playing on the leg side .
But he is a quick learner and now his lag side is no longer his weak point.
His bowling is also of big help because he can swing the ball a long way.
He can always get a break through when the captain needs one.Sachin 
should give Saurav more bowling in the matches and Saurav will soon 
develop into a quality allrounder.
