1 in 10 known pregnancies end in miscarriage.
Nearly 50% of all fertilized eggs end in miscarriage. This statistic
is for all pregnangies, known and unknown.
Most miscarriage occur between the 4th and
12th week of pregnancy.
Miscarriages are caused by many factors. Factors which
include but are not limited to: fetal death, fetal growth abnormalities, infection, physical defects with
the mother, and hormone factors.
60 - 75% of women with previous
miscarriages are successful the next time. However, if a woman miscarries more than twice her
changes of having a normal pregnancy declines some with each miscarriage.
