*First Day In Tulsa*

                                     *Chapter 2*
                                 First Day In Tulsa

Genesis opened her eyes as she felt a slight bump from
the plane. I guess I fell asleep, Genesis thought. The plane
    was now landing.
"Thank you for flying American Airlines. We hope that
next time your plans call for a flight you will turn to us.
Please wait until your captain has turned off the fasten
seatbelt sign and then you may exit the plane," the stewardess
    said over the intercom.
Genesis sighed. Here I am in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Town of boredom. She didn't know much about Tulsa, but she figured
it would be terribly boring, mostly of fields and farms. But
she was wrong. As they exited the airport and hopped in a taxi,
Genesis noticed the city was much bigger and busier than she
has thought. It had skyscrapers and had a lot of people walking
     down the streets.
"Wow this is bigger than I thought," Genesis said aloud.
    	"Yeah," her mother agreed.
"19328 South Green River Road," her father directed the
    driver.
When they arrived at the new house, Genesis was surprised.
It was almost identical to her old house. It was three
stories high, painted white with light blue shutters and trimming.
When her dad opened the door she went to the third floor.
Sure enough, it was one room, just like her old room.
"Mom can I have this room?" She yelled.
    	"Sure honey," her mom replied.
Genesis began unpacking immediately. She put her tons
of Hanson pictures on her walls, almost completely covering the
     huge room.
The room was exactly the same. There was a bay window
in the front, a large, long one along the side, and two smaller
    windows facing the backyard.
When she put her clothes in the walk-in-closet and put
her things in the bathroom, she decided to explore the backyard.
"Mom, I'm gonna go check out the backyard," she called.
"Ok, have fun. We have almost two acres of property back
     there!"
    	"Cool."
"Be back by dinner time," her mom instructed.
"Ok," Genesis said as she walked out the back sliding
    glass door.
She shivered, it was chilly and she was wearing baggy
jeans and a green midriff, which showed off her bellybutton-ring
perfectly. She sighed and walked down a small path that lead
to a little forest behind her house.
I can't believe this, she thought. I'll never make
     any friends here.
    	"Watch it!" someone screamed.
Genesis jumped, causing her to knock over a tower of
legos on the ground in front of her.
"Thanks a lot!" the boy yelled. "I was working on
    that for a long time!"
"Jeez, sorry. It was an accident. I didn't mean it."
"The fact that it was an accident doesn't rebuild my
     tower!" the boy shouted.
"Sheesh! I said I was sorry! It's only legos!" Genesis
     exclaimed.
"Only legos. I've been working on that for so long!"
She looked at the boy. He had long blond hair and
beautiful blue eyes. It took her a minute, but suddenly
she realized, Holy shit that's Taylor Hanson!
"You're Taylor Hanson," she said aloud.
    	"No kidding," Taylor replied furiously.
"I'm Genesis Melenin," she greeted, extending her hand.
Taylor folded his arms across his chest.
    	Boy he's stubborn! Genesis thought.
    	Genesis put her hand down.
"Taylor!" someone else yelled. "Say hi!"
Genesis looked in the direction of the voice, but knew
who he was the second he spoke. Isaac Hanson. She was in love
     with him.
"Hi I'm Isaac but you can call me Ike," he greeted her,
taking her hand. "Sorry about my brother, his legos are really
    important to him."
Genesis was speechless. She looked into his beautiful
chocolate brown eyes and that georgus smile. Then she realized
he was staring at her expectantly.
"I-I'm G-Genesis Melenin," she choked out.
"Taylor say hi," Ike directed, giving him a look.
    	"Hi," Taylor mumbled.
"And I'm Zac!" Zac screamed, bounding up to them.
"Hi Z-Zac," Genesis managed, still in shock.
Ike laughed. "Don't worry, he's usually caged. He
doesn't jump on you unless he has extra sugar.
"And I did Ikeypoo!" Zac yelled, jumping onto Ike's back.
"Aah!" Ike screamed, trying to push Zac off his back.
Genesis laughed. This isn't happening, she thought. It's
not possible. I'm dreaming. She pinched herself. "Ouch!"
    she cried.
Ike stopped his attemps to throw Zac in the little pond
near them and looked up. "You ok?" she asked.
"Yeah," Genesis replied, still not totally convinced
this whole conversation was actually taking place.
    	Ike resumed mission 'Zac-in-the-pond'. Genesis
noticed Taylor trying to rebuild his lego castle. She
walked over. "Need help?" she asked as she approached him.
    	"Yeah."
"Want me to help you?" she asked.
"Sure if you don't knock it down," Taylor answered.
"I said I was sorry," Genesis said quietly, sad that
she'd upset one of her favorite people.
Taylor noticed the look on her face and assured her,
"It's ok. I guess it's not thatt big of a deal."
Genesis smiled. "You don't hate me?"
"No, and I never did. I was just annoyed. I came out
here because inside Mackie kept running over my tower with his
    Tonka truck," Taylor replied.
    	"Oh," Genesis said, giggling.
"AAAHHH!!!" Zac screamed. Genesis looked up from the
lego tower and started laughing at what she saw.
Ike had succeeded at throwing Zac in the pond, and Zac
was now soaking wet. He got out of the pond and glared at Ike.
"Thanks a lot!" he shouted. "I thought you loved me." Zac
frowned, trying to look hurt, but gave up and burst into laughter.
"Zac why don't you put on some dry clothes," Taylor
    suggested.
Zac went into the Hanson house and Ike walked over
to talk to Genesis. "How old are you?" he asked. "Sixteen,"
    she replied.
    	"Oh, I'm seventeen."
    	"Yeah I know," Genesis replied.
    	"Oh."
There was an uncomfortable silence, no one knowing what to
    say.
"Um, nice ring thingy," Taylor offered.
    	"Thanks."
    	"I'm baaaaack!" Zac screamed.
Ike looked Genesis over as she talked to Zac. She had
dark brown hair that reached to about her armpits and a small
braided rat tail about two inches longer than her other hair,
a little like Taylor's. She was average height, and average
weight. Her green eyes sparkled with every breath she took.
    	"Ike? Hello? Anybody home?"
    	Ike shook his head. "Huh?"
"We asked Genesis to go to a movie with us, I Know What
You Did Last Summer, and she said yes," Taylor stated.
"Oh cool," Ike replied. He was still staring into space.
    	"Ike? You ok?" Zac asked.
Ike shook his head again. "Yeah, I'm fine," he answered.
    	"Ikeypoo's in lo-ove Ikeypoo's in lo-ove!" Zac teased.
"Shut up Zac. Let's go get ready," Ike said, ruffling
    his brother's hair.
"Hey man! Watch the hair!" Zac yelled.
Taylor laughed, and followed his brothers into the house.
