Greetings from the U.K.

Dear Family, WARM Greetings from the U.K.

Here are one or two expressions recently used in our Congregation.

A brother giving the Public Talk "You Can Find Joy in Serving God" (103) said that in order to find "joy" in serving God you have to put the "J" first, that means putting Jehovah first in your personal life. Next you put the "O" which means putting the needs of Others next. Finally you put the "Y", which means putting Yourself last. If you do things this way you will certainly gain joy in serving God. If you do it the other way around then you'll just get "YOJ"!!

In a Service Meeting item a brother was giving a talk about developing a meaningful ministry. He concluded the item by saying, "So brothers don't preach because you have to say something, but rather preach because you have something to say!!"

During the Visit of the C.O. some months back the brother conducting the Congregation Book Study asked the question "So then, what did all the people bring to Jesus?" The answer was, of course, that they brought him all those who were ailing and suffering in order to be cured. One young brother put up his hand and simply said "They brought him all their sick". I won't try to explain the images that came to the minds of many in the Congregation.
