Review of "Sublime"

GRADE: A

Sublime meld elements of reggae, punk, ska and more in their third album entitled "Sublime." Sublime is one of the best and most experimental ska acts around. The late Brad Nowell is a brilliant, wide ranging vocalist who can sing the happy pop songs along with the toned down soft tracks. Standout songs on this album include the soft, well crafted "Santeria," the anthem "What I Got" and the smooth "Doin' Time." Sublime is at its best with its punk songs and its ska ballads. Sublime hits you with great song, one after another, in their eclectic style that defies repetitiveness. A great album in all respects.
