The latest in what promises to be a long line of posthumous Sublime albums features concert tracks, mostly from 1994. Don't expect to hear later material like "What I Got," but do expect to be impressed with the way these well-recorded, beer-saturated club cuts capture the late Brad Nowell's endearing-jerk charm and the band's stage power (especially on "S.T.P." and "Badfish"). Too bad Nowell's references to substance excess dampen some of the spirit. |
