Plantar Fasciitis

I began running marathons about 12 years ago. After my 13th marathon, I developed plantar fasciitis. I tried every possible solution I could think of, including cortisone shots, physical therapy (stretching exercises), and orthotics, to no avail. I considered surgery, but after reading some horror stories about it, I decided not to try this option. I ran my 14th marathon (Walt Disney World) in excruciating pain. After that run I thought my long distance fun was over until a running friend casually suggested trying magnets. I had just finished a painful 10-mile run and was icing my foot. I bought a strong magnet on my way to home and placed it where the pain was. My personal experience has been miraculous. By using the magnets, I am now completely free from pain. I just finished my 15th marathon (Walt Disney World) with no pain at all. My podiatrist had said that the problem with plantar faciitis is that there is very little blood flow through the faciia. Maybe the magnets promote the blood flow? Magnets have been used in Japan for pain relief for centuries. Who knows how it works, and it may not work for everybody but it has worked for me.
