Walkthrough

The Rusty Sword - Boss: Mantis Ant

After the short-story sequence, you will fall down a waterfall. Now, make your way right until you see a sword in a stone. Pull it out and continue on right, cutting through the bushes. You will soon reach Potos. Try to make it to lv. 2-3 first. In Potos, go to the house located to the right and talk to the Elder. You will enter another short-story sequence where you will fight the Mantis Ant - your first boss. This boss is pretty easy 'cause a man will revive you when you die. After you defeat Mantis Ant, you will be helped out of the hole by a guy named Jema. He will tell you about what you have done and you will be asked to Visit Sage Luka at the water palace. Remember to visit the Elder once more and then head out. If you go strait to the right path, you will enter the Cannon Travel Center, where the cannon man will send you to the Water Palace. You'll see four guards and a commander in front of the Water Palace. Talk to them, then head north to the palace.

Follow the path north until you reach Sage Luka and Jema who are waiting for you in here. Talk to them a few times and after Jema departs, you will recieve the spear from Sage Luka. You will also be asked to visit the Dwarf Village in Gaia's Navel. Before leaving, remember that you must seal the seed at the top of the platform. Leave the Palace travel to Pandora. You may get captured by goblins. A blond girl will appear and rescue you, but will rush away without telling you her name. Now, continue on to Pandora. If you're lost, read the signs, they'll tell you where to go. From Pandora, you can either travel west to Gaia's Navel, or north to Potos. Remember that. Take the west path. Continue along until you reach Gaia'a Navel. Here, walk left until you reach some stairs. Talk them. Now, head along right and up, through the water, and down around until you see a cave. If you take the right path, you'll meet Neko. Take the left path to continue along through Gaia's Naivel.

Gaia's Navel - Boss: Tropicallo

Gaia's Navel is a pretty strait forward dungeon. If you see some skulls on the wall, hit them with your weapon and they will let you pass. Anytime you see skulls along the wall, hit them. They're important. When you reach Dwarf Village, ask around, go through the areas, whatever. You will soon meet Watts, the blacksmith. Don't reforge your sword. Rather, from Dwarf Village, go through the door (to the North) and take the left door here. You will see a Sprite Show. Pay the 100 GP you're asked to, and after the show, take the LEFT door to reveal the truth. Now, save and visit Watts to reforge. Exit now, and you will face Tropicallo. Hit him a second after he releases his bomb, and soon he will die. Sprite will now join your party. Visit Watts again, and buy the axe he's made. He will also give you a shortcut which you will take. Now, you can either head to Pandora to get the girl, or you can go through the Haunted Forest. I suggest going to Pandora.

Pandora

Exit Gaia's Navel and find Pandora by use of the signs. The Castle is located at the top right of the village. Once in here, make your way to the end where you will meet the girl who saved you. She will join your party, now.

Haunted Forest & Witches Castle - Boss: Spikey Tiger

The Haunted Forest is found near Gaia's Navel. Instead of going down those stairs to Gaia's Navel, go up through the path to the Haunted Forest. Once in the Haunted Forest, you will see Neko in the first screen. Buy whatever you can from him. Then, go through the warp (that's the big symbol-like thing on the ground), and you'll come to a place with two exits. Take the right one (the left one is blocked) and follow the path until you see a few more warps. On one of these warps, you'll hear blocks moving. Now, go back to the area with the spikes blocking the path. Cut it down with the axe, and the rest is pretty strait forward. Just keep following the path. You will soon reach Elinee's Castle. Keep going, and you'll see Elinee standing at the top of some staircase. Talk to her, and she will send you to a room with Spikey Tiger. Defeat him - remember that if he is on the ledge, you'll need to use your bow on him, otherwise he'll give you enough doses of fire to kill you. When you defeat him, Elinee will transform to her usual self, and you will receive some treasure boxes - one containing the whip. When you exit the castle, Luka will summon you to the Water Palace. Use the whip and take the shortcut to the Palace.

Undine's Cave - Boss: Biting Lizard

Elemental: Undine

At the Water Palace, Luka will tell you that she senses her friend, Undine is in trouble. Exit the Water Palace, and make your way right from the Palace. You will come across a waterfall, which you can go through. Follow the very short path until you reach a boss - a lizard creature that can swallow you up. Fortunately, in this battle, he will not be able to take any HP away, so he should be easy. Undine will appear after the battle, and you will receieve her powers. You may want to raise the girl's and sprite's magic to level 1. Always be sure to do this after restoring each seed. With each seed to seal, you'll be able to raise your magic to a level higher - get it?

Underground Palace Boss: Fire Gigas

Elemental: Gnome

I've gotten tons of e-mails from people asking where the Underground Palace is - it's in Gaia's Navel, in the wall where you fought Tropicallo. Enter here. Use freeze (sprite's magic) on the orb. Continue on. The enemies are kinda tough, so be sure to keep EVERYONE alive. Use the whip to cross gaps, and soon you'll arrive to the room with a little gnome. Sprite will get into an argument with him, and you'll have to fight the Fire Gigas. He's kinda tough, but is Sprite's magic is on level 1, use his spells sparringly. He will soon die, and you will receive Gnome's Powers. This elemental is one of the strongest, and one of the most widely used throughout the land. Raise Undine and Gnome to level 2 after you seal the seed. Now, exit the palace (use the rope) and take the shortcut out of Gaia's Navel. Head to Pandora, the tounge-tied town.

Pandora Ruins - Boss: Wall Face

The ruins in Pandora are located to the south of Pandora. Just before you enter this way, you will see a purple haired girl named Phanna (she's in Pandora). She is the girl's friend. Talk to her, and she will warp to the ruins. So, go there! Once inside, take the stairs and take the left and right doors. Follow them to some orbs. Now, go back in the main room and take the door right across from the enterance. You will soon reach Thanatos. After the short-story sequence, you will fight Wall Face. This boss is extremely easy if you use Earth Slide on him a few times. He will eventually die. Remember - always use the magic on the middle eye. When he dies, you get Phanna, but Dyluck remains with Thanatos. The town will be back to normal! You can ask around to hear some funny things, and you will see Jema walking around. Talk to him to exit this creepy dungeon. Now, go to the castle, talk to the king, and you will be able to enter the treasure room to receive some orbs and 100GP. Now, go back to the Water Palace and you will discover that the water seed's been stolen.

Scorpion Army - Boss: Kilroy

Go back to Gaia's Naival. You'll see the elder and Jema looking into some big hole. Talk to them and enter the hole. You will encounter the scorpion army. They will leave, and you will need to go through the door. Now, you will fight Kilroy, a robot. Charge your weapons and attack. Beware, though! His hammer can moogle or pygmytize you. After he's destroyed, you'll receive an orb, and the water seed.

Water Palace - Boss: Jabberwocky

Return to the Water Palace, and you'll see that Luka is being held hostage. You will have to hand the seed over to Gestar and fight Jabberwocky, a two-headed monster. Use Earth slide on him, and he will eventually die. You regain the water seed, and seal it once again. Talk to Jema and Luka, they will tell you to visit the Cannon Man near Potos. If you remember correctly, after you were banished from Potos, there was a Cannon travel center nearby. If you return there, he will give you the option of going to the UpperLand for 50GP.

The UpperLand - Boss: Spring Beak

Elemental: Sylphid

You will land in the UpperLand, in winter full of moogles. Sprite loses his memory, and so he can't tell you where to go. Talk to a moogle, and he will cry, telling you that his village has been taken over by pebblers. You can't proceed in the game unless you talk to a moogle. UpperLand consists of 4 seasons - Winter (white trees), Spring (pink trees), Summer (green trees), and Fall (white trees). Go to Summer, and enter the Moogle Village (Top Left of the screen). There are 3 Pebblers in the village. Kill them, then leave. The moogles will come back to the village before you can exit. Look around the village, and you will find a few weapon orbs, Watts, and Neko. Do whatever you need to do, buy a few walnuts, you know. Now, talk to a moogle again. He will say "Walk the seasons from Spring to Winter, Spring again, than you can enter." This means that from spring (pink trees), walk anti-clockwise to summer, fall, winter, then spring again. You will hear a noise nearby. In spring, walk out through the north-east exit and you will enter the Sprite Village. The village is a shambles... poor Sprite. You hear another noise, so walk north, to fight Spring Beak. Defeat him using earth slide (didn't I tell you it would be useful), and take the north route. Follow the path until you reach the Wind Palace. Enter, to find Sprite's grandpa. He lost most of his vision, but he still wants to help. You gain sylphid, the third elemental.

The Great Forest

If you return to spring (green trees), walk to the west exit and go through to find an orb. Use sylphid's magic spell air-blast to break the seal. By the way, sylphid's magic is useful in finding out what magic is required to activate each orb (use analyser). Anyhow, in the Great Forest, make your way around and you will soon come across a cave. Before entering the cave, take note of the Cannon Travel center located nearby to the right. Enter the cave. Use the axe to cut down the spikes, and exit the cave to Matango.

Matango

Don't attack the mushrooms! They're residents of Matango, and very friendly. Make your way around until you reach Fung Castle. To the west of Fung Castle's entrance is an armor/item shop. Shop here, sell your old equipment, and enter Fung Castle. Watts is here, and you can reforge your weapons if you have some unused orbs. To the right is an inn. Save here. Go north to find King Truffle. Talk to him, then when he's done his boring speech, take the right exit and go around and through to the cave. Don't forget the treasures in Fung Castle!

The Legendary Dragon - Boss: The Great Viper

Once you enter the cave, you'll be in a room filled with tons of tough enemies. It's kinda confusing, so I'll lead you through it. First, follow the pathway until you come across a gap. Use your whip to cross it. Now, take the stairs down, and cross the next gap that comes up. Go down some more stairs. Follow the path left, and keep going until you find some large spikes that cannot be smashed with the axe. Go up the stairs and find another crystal orb. Use earthslide on it, and the spikes will disappear. Go past the spikes and follow the path. You will soon find the Great Viper in a clearing in the woods. Defeat him using Sylphid. Careful, though, 'cause he can pygmatize you and when you're pygmatized, your defence will decrease by A LOT! Medical Herbs will cure this. Anyways, when the Great Viper is defeated, take the north path through and you'll find a cute white dragon in the spotlight. Talk to it, and you will conclude that her parents were beaten by the Viper. You will be transported to King Truffle, who names the dragon Flammie. He will take care of her, and will tell you that the cannon travel in the Great Forest has been reopened (remember I told you where the Cannon Travel was?). Go there and choose the "route" to the Ice Country.

Ice Country - Boss: Boreal Face

Elemental: Salamando

You land in the Ice forest, where the hounds are a PAIN. But they are worth a good amout of money and experience. Follow the paths until you reach Santa's house. Rudolph is frantically trotting around front saying that a monster's got his master. Who can his master be? Hmm... Anyways, continue on until you reach Boreal Face. He's kinda easy if you know what to do. He's the exact same as Tropicallo, so defeat him in the same manner. Now, exit here taking the north passage, and you'll find the hidden paradise. Why, oh why is it so hot in here? Well, you're about to find out. You'll come across the scorpion army, who'll tell you to watch the stove, without recognizing you. When you hear a noise, open the stove and find Salamando, the fire elemental. He joins your party, and the village will no longer keep warm. So, exit here, taking the north path. Keep going until you reach the Ice Palace. If you want, from the entrance of the Ice Palace, walk down, exit, walk down, left and up to find another path leading to Neko. Buy some stuff, and save. Then, return to the Ice Palace.

Ice Palace - Boss: Frost Gigas

The Ice Palace isn't necessarily an easy dungeon. The turtle enemies can be a pain. Just look around and keep following the paths. When you come across a button, hit it. Sometimes, you may push the wrong button, so look for the correct one. Soon, you will find a room with two buttons side-by-side. Step on 'em and you'll fall through to a room with three biting lizards. These guys may take off some of your HP, so I suggest killing one at a time. Use targeting for your allies, and they should die fairly easily. Charged weapons work the best. Now, keep going until you reach Front gigas. His attacks are kinda severe, but if you keep casting Salamando at level 4 (fireball), he's a piece of cake. After you defeat him, return to the Ice Forest and wander around until you find the Cannon Travel Center. Read the signs, they'll be helpful in your search. Basically, from the entrance of the Ice Palace keep walking south. You'll see some pink spikes blocking your path. Just walk around them and on the other side is a path. Now, just keep walking right until you reach the Cannon Travel Center. If you choose to go to Kakkara, he may tell you that he doesn't have enough gun powder. If this is the case, you'll need to choose Matango, and go through the Great Forest, to the Cannon Man there by the entrance of the cave, and choose Kakkara.

The Sandship

You land in the desert in the middle of nowhere! Just wander around taking the paths until Sprite says that he can't go on much longer. Now, head north and you'll find the Imperial Sandship. The people in this ship think you're spies, and split you up in different parts of the ship. You will end up in a room with a whole bunch of workers. Ask around until you find Sergo, and talk to him twice. He'll help you in your escape. Exit this room, and walk around until you find Sprite. He's eaten up all the food on board, and they'd gladly get rid of him. Now, you must find the Girl. If you look to the middle of the ship, you'll see a door that's slightly camoflouged. Enter through here. In here, if you take the stairs to your right, you can save your game. Go back, and if you go north, you'll find the girl. She refuses to massage Morie's back, and she joins you again. The Empire will now attack, and you will find yourself outside again. Talk to Geshtar at the head of the ship, and you will fight Mech Rider. He's pretty easy, if you attack him from the side with charged weapons. Just don't attack him standing in front of him. When he's been defeated, you'll end up back in the desert with guards everwhere. You can talk to Morie and Merie. Merie will realize that you are Jema's friends and will apologize for his grandson's actions. One of the other guards will ask if you'd like to leave now. Say yes, and you will end up in the desert. Go north, and you'll end up in Kakkara, finally.

Kakkara

Kakkara, the town of no water. The wells here have all dried out, and only a sea hare's tail will bring it back (the music's kinda sad, like in Pandora - this means somethings wrong). Anyways, talk to the people in town, and also talk to King Amar. He's in the middle of town. He's thank you for bringing back the fire seed, and will ask you to return it to the fire palace. Buy some new armor, items, and save at the inn. Watts is also leaning against a tree to the right of the village. Talk to him, if you wish. Note the Cannon Travel Center to the right of the village. Exit Kakkara through the south path, and your back in the desert. From here, walk left, then north, then north again. You'll be in the Fire Palace's entrance. Walk up the stairs and up to the palace itself.

Fire Palace - Boss: Minotaur

From the entrance, in one of the rooms to the side, you will find yourself at a dead end. In the other room, you'll be in a room that's unbearable hot. Use salamando's exploder on the crystal orb. Then take the stairs on the right. Cast fireball on the next orb you see, then walk down and make your way south and through the stairway again. Go through the next set of stairs you see, then through the next set of stairs that lead down. Trigger the switch you see, and keep going until you see a crystal orb atop a platform. Cast freeze on it, and the fire in the chalices will go out. Two chalices will continue to burn, however, so walk between them. Enter the door that appears to face Minotaur. Casting Sylphid on him will kill him fairly quickly. He does, however use level 8 magic, so beware. After he has been defeated, return the seed to the stage, seal it, and return to Kakkara. Go to the Cannon Travel Center to the right of the village and choose to go to the Empire.

Southtown

You will land in Southtown. Here, go to the top left and enter the house. This is Mara's house. She's a little weird looking, but talk to her anyway. You discover that she is a Tasnican spy and she will give you a secret password - 634. Now, if you head to the route at the top right, give the guard standing there the password. He will let you pass. Do NOT buy any new armor yet, when you reach Northtown, they have better armor there. When you enter the sewers, you will encounter many enemies. I'm not going to tell you how to get through, 'cause it's pretty easy to figure it out. When you exit the sewers finally, you will end up at Krissies house. She plays a small role in the game. Exit this huge house and you'll end up in Northtown

Northtown

Northtown is much bigger than Southtown, and a lot more important. First off, look around. Buy new armor, items, save your game, the usual stuff. You will also meet Krissie, leader of the resistance. Then head to the upper-right path and you'll find yourself in the Northtown ruins.

Northtown Ruins - Boss: Doom Wall

This place can be complicated, if you don't know where you're going. Follow the path, look around the ruins, and step on any switches you see. Take any paths you can, but know where you're at. Eventually, you'll find yourself face-to-face with Doom Wall. He's easy, use earthslide on the middle eye continually. Thanatos will then send Vampire to you. This guy isn't that easy. Earthslide once again comes to the rescue. Don't forget, the girl can heal using Undine. This is why it's important that you have your spells at a high level. After Vampire is gone, you will find that so are Thanatos and Dyluck.

The Emperor - Boss: Metal Mantis

Head back to Northtown and into the Resistance Base. Krisse will be standing there with her allies. She will tell you that the Emperor wants peace. So you'll need to go there and find out what's up. The Emperor's castle is located to the north of Northtown. Follow the path to the Emperor. You'll find out that the whole thing about Emperor Vandole wanting peace was a trap. You end up behind bars. Talk to the guard there, and he will let you out. But you'll have to fight Metal Mantis. This boss is kinda easy. Fight him like you did the Mantis Ant. He'll eventually die. Now, go left and you'll need to step on the yellow guys to get across. There are a few orbs in this castle, so find them. Embermen will give you TONS of experience, money, and an occasional faerie walnut. I suggest fighting them for about half an hour to gain ten levels. It's a lot of fun, isn't it? Heh... Well, walk around this place for a bit, and soon you'll come across a place with two staircases. Pick the left one. If you remember correctly, you've been here before, but guards were standing there, blocking your path. Step on the right switch in this room, and you'll appear on the left side of the room. You'll come across a switch on the wall, hit it with your weapon. This will allow you to pass through to your right. Go through the door. You'll come across the emperor, Gestar, Fanha, and Sheex. Gestar will ask the Emperor to finish you off. You will have to fight Mech Rider now. He's easy, defeat him the way you did last time. When he does die, Gestar will be so angry, that he'll burn the place down. What to do now? King Truffle will mysteriously appear and tell you that Flammie grew up and wants to help you. That's how Truffle got here, by Flammie. He gives you the Flammie Drum (one of the most important items) and you will ride Flammie. Take King Truffle to Matango, although you don't have to. Now, you can use Flammie anytime you want, only when you're outside.

Gold City & Kakkara

If you use you map, you'll find that Gold City is located right in the center of the world. It's the city in gold, hence the name, Gold City. If you land there, buy the armor there. It's one of the best that you can get. Get back on Flammie, and look around until you find a small island in the shape of a turtle. Land here. Buy the seahare's tail (finally) and go back to Kakkara. By the way, I advise you to look around the world with Flammie, just to understand where everything is. If you're still having trouble, use the map. From here, you can either travel to the Dark Palace, the Moon Palace, or the Gold Tower.

The Dark Palace - Boss: Shade

Elemental: Shade

Fly over to the Lofty Mountains, located around the grey areas on the map. Land in the area where there is a small village leading to a palace. If you land where all the houses are, you will land in Mandala. If you wish, you could travel to the north where there isn't anything important. From Mandala, travel south and keep walking along untl you reach a cave. Enter the cave. this is the Dark Palace. In the first room, take the right door. Cut down the spikes. Then go down. Now, head up and left to find a switch - step on it. Go down and step on another switch. Now, go downstairs, through the corridor, cross the gap with your whip, then step on this switch. You can use the magic rope to transport back to the beginning and go strait for some orbs. Get back out. Now, go into the room at the left side, head north, then cut the spikes to your left and go through the door that's there. Follow the passage, you'll see some switches on the floor. Each switch will light up the path for you. Follow the path, and you will encounter a blob-like thing. Use Salamando's magic on it, and it will die. Sprite will gain Shade's powers as his reward. Seal the seed, and raise all your elementals to level 5.

The Golden Tower - Boss: Blue Spike

Elemental: Lumina

Use Flammie to fly to Gold City. You'll see stairs around the perimeter of the city, and if you follow the path all the way around, you'll encounter an old man who will tell you that the Gold Tower's key was stolen by a Tasnican Spy in Southtown. Who could it be? Mara. So go over to her, and get the key. Then, go back to Gold City and take the North path to the Gold Tower. This place is really easy. Just make your way through it, until you come to Blue Spike. Keep hitting him with your weapons and he should die soon enough. Keep going, and soon you'll find the Gorgon Bull. His weakness is Sylphid, so use that on him. Go up the stairs and you will meet Lumina. She will give her powers to the girl only. Seal the seed, raise your magic, and get back on Flammie.

The Moon Palace Elemental: Luna

The Moon Palace is one of the easiest places. To find it, look at your map. It's in the middle of the huge, black, round area. Unfortunately, you can't land here, so land around the edges of the black circle. You're back in the desert. Go up one screen and head up and left to find Karon. She will take you to the Moon Palace. Enter the Palace, and you will be standing on darkness. This place is weird, you go in circles if you continue on one path. Anyways, from the entrance, go left until the rocks are just off the screen, then go up. You'll find a crystal orb, and you'll need to use Lumina's lucent beam on it. You'll end up in a palace. Go up and you'll find Luna. She will give her powers to Sprite and the Girl. Exit this place, and you will now need to take Flammie to Tasnica.

Tasnica Castle

When you land in Tasnica, Jema will be waiting for you. You hear that there is a spy in the castle. Make your way to the King's room and talk to him. He will transform into the Dark Stalker and you will have to fight him. Lucent Beam works well, but I prefer weapons. Once he's dead, the King will transform into himself, and you will receive a sword orb. You will now need to visit Sage Joch for the test of true courage.

The Test of Courage

If you go back to the Lofty Mountains, make your way to the top of the mountain and enter the cave. You can get to the top of the mountain if you pass by the entrance of the Dark Palace. Continue on, crossing the gaps, and you will eventually get there. Talk to Sage Joch. He will tell you to undergo a test of courage, and will open a passageway for you. Continue on, and ignore the enemies. You will find that it is difficult to defeat even one of these enemies. Watch out, the Eggplant Man will release Needlions, and the Needlions are one of the most difficult enemies in the game. One hit will take of over 200HP. You will soon enter a room with shadows of yourself (they're called Doppelgangers). This battle can be really easy, if you do it right. Keep in mind that if any person dies, so does their shadow. Once the shadows disappear, exit the room and talk to Sage Jenk. He will reveal that he is really the sage, and will tell you to go to the Tree Palace. What are you waiting for?

The Sunken Continent - Bosses: Aagrepolian

Elemental: Dryad

Make sure that your magic is on a high level for this part. If you enter the Palace, you will find Sheex and Fanha. Prepare to fight Aagrepolian (is that how you spell it?). He's a pain in the ass, and he uses wall so you can't use magic unless you dispel his wall. Weapons work well, but his attacks are very painful. After you defeat him, you race to the seed, but it's no good, you're too late. Dryad appears, and tells you to leave. Sprite persuades her to join their party, and so she does. Automatically, you will call Flammie and watch the Continent rise.

The Underground City - Bosses: Hydra & Kettle Kin

When you first land on the palace, talk to Jema. Then, make your way to the bottom of the stair and to the left. Walk around until you reach a small block and a doorway on the other side. Inside, cut down the spikes and make a path to the north. Head up all the way, and left. Go down the waterfall SLOWLY, and you will see a switch in the wall, which you will hit with you weapon. The water will disappear. Make your way up again, and left. You will need to go down another waterfall. Be sure to hit the right switch, there are three decoy switches. When you hit the right switch, the water will disappear. Go back up, and through the door. You will face Hydra. Use Salamando and Hydra will die. In the next room, enter the middle door. Go down the escalator on the left, and push along the left wall until you find an area with a switch. Hit the switch. Continue along down the escalator. Go through the door at the end of the escalator. Continue along until you find Krissie and Watts. Do whatever you need to do and then continue. A soldier will give you a code (red-blue-yellow-green). You will need to use it later. Exit this room and continue along right. Soon you will find another escalator. Go down it. In the next room, go to the right and push switch. Continue on until you come to an area with four blocks. Step on the middle and another barrier will be removed. If you keep going, you will soon see four switches in the wall in the colors red, blue, yellow, green. Hit the switches in the order as the soldier told you, and continue down. Press the switch you see before jumping down, then jump down and go up. Go throught the barrier you removed to find the Subway. Enter through the door, and run all the way to the end. Exit the subway, and keep going. Soon, you'll find the scorpion army and will have to fight Kettle Kin. Defeat him like you did the last robot, and soon you'll reach the end of this confusing area.

The Grand Palace - Boss: Snap Dragon

Once, you've completed the Underground Palace, you're ready for the Grand Palace. The Palace door is located on the wall of the sunken continent (which has risen). You'll recognize it by the crystal orb structure just above the door. Enter the Palace. Go up the stairs right in front of you. Go up, and take the left door. Cast gnome on the orb you see. Then exit the room, and this time take the right door. Cast Undine on the orb in this room. Now, go back to the beginning of the Palace. Take the stairs to the right, and then go to the set of stairs in the middle. Cross the gap, go left, and enter the room. Cast Sylphid on the orb you see. Exit this room, go down, then work your way to the right side of this room, then go through the door to the north. Use Salamando's magic on the orb in this room. Now, exit the room and go back down, and go up the stairs in the middle. If you go left and down, enter the door you see and use Lumina's magic on the orb. Exit this room, and go to the right this time. Enter the door, and use Shade on the orb. Now, go back up, take the stairway to the right of you, and make your way around and to the room on the left. Hit the switch in the wall, and go back and into the room with the two stairways. The barrier that disappeared you will enter. Make your way up the stairway until you reach a room with six flaming chalices. Go left and down the stairs you see. Continue along the path to the right and go up the stairs here. From here, go to the left and into the room. In here, use Luna on the orb. Exit here, and go to the stairs to the right of you. You will fight the Snap Dragon here. He's much tougher - if he swallows you, you're in for some major damage. He's weak against Salamando, so use that on him. Now, go left, and go through the stairs you see. The Emperor will be near the seed, but he will be dead. Make your way to the back of the room, and you fill fight Fanha, as Hexas. This boss is tough, she can pygmatize you, but earth slide will destroy her. Now, go through the opening at the back of the room and step on the switch there. The continent will once again sink, so go talk to Jema. He will tell you that you must now travel to Pureland and talk with the Mana Tree.

Pure Land - Bosses: (Five bosses)

Before leaving for Pure Land, find Neko on the right side of the Tree Palace. He sells expensive armor, but it'll be worth it. Take Flammie to the grey/white island to the north-west on the world. These enemies are REALLY hard, and you'll find a lot of needlions here. There isn't much I can tell you about where to go, because it's really easy to find your way here. Make sure your spells are at level 7 at least. Level 8 would be better. Also, it might be good if you could find the Griffin Helm, from the Griffin claws, as you won't be able to find these anywhere else. Anyhow, when you reach the first boss, use thunderbolt on him. Save your game at the gate and continue. You will soon find the next boss, where you will need to use Salamando to defeat him. Save and continue. Next boss requires the magic of Undine to be defeated. Save at the gate and continue along. You'll reach the next dragon boss soon, where you will need to use Undine to defeat him. Save at the gate. The last boss you will face. Use Gnome on him and he will be no more. Pass through the gate to meet the Mana Tree. After the short-story sequence, you will find out some shocking news. I won't tell you what it is, find out yourself.

The Mana Fortress - Bosses: Buffy & Lime Slime

This is the last stage you will need to pass. These enemies aren't the hardest, just the Master Ninja's are. Beware, one blow from a Master Ninja may indeed kill you. Now I know this place is confusing, but if you follow the arrows on the floor, you won't be lost. You'll need to step on green switches on the floor and cross many gaps all throughout, and you cannot use the magic rope here. Also keep in mind that killing the enemies will benefit you, you'll gain A LOT of experience, gold pieces, and you should be able to find all the weapon's orbs, except the sword's. Refer to my weapon page if you're lost in finding the orbs. Don't forget, killing certain enemies will give you the best armor that you can get. Soon, you will face Buffy, the vampire (heh). Lumina's magic will destroy him. Next, you will find the Lime Slime. If you cast wall on evryone, the magic he hits you with will deflect and hit him. Cast shade on him, and he will die.

The Final Battles Bosses: Dark Lich & The Mana Beast

When you reach the end, you will know, because you'll reach a room with NO ENEMIES. Step on the green dot and you will enter a short-story sequence, where someone dies, and you will fight Thanatos as Dark Lich. Cast wall, lucid barrier, and any other enhancing spells that you want to. Don't go for his hands when he's underground, or the person will go unconscious and die . Gnome and Lumina will kill him quite easily. When he does die, a Mana Beast will attack the Fortress. Your only choice is to kill it. At first, the beast will fly towards you twice, then he may fly by. When he slowly raises above you, that's the time to hit him. Now, you may wonder why nothing happens when you hit him. If you look at Sprite and The Girl's Dryad spell, you will see that a new spell has been added. Mana Magic. Both the Girl and Sprite must cast Mana Magic on your sword. The sword will have a greenish color to it, this is the only way to tell if it has Mana Magic on it. Remember, don't try to hit the beast while it's flying by, or it won't get hit. Instead, hit it when it hovers in front of you. Don't charge your sword either, it's a waste of time. When the beast finally dies, sit back and enjoy the short story sequence.
