HOW DOES A GRANDDAUGHTER CHANGE YOUR LIFE?

You trade steak dinners for Happy Meals at McDonalds.
You trade watching full length movies for Winnie The Pooh and Rolie Polie Olie.

You trade lounging in your chair for lying on the floor with a child on your back pretending you are her pony. You eat the pretend hay she feeds you and pretend you like it.
You trade reading the evening newspaper for reading books about pigs, cats, & dogs and learn to make the sounds of all the animal kingdom.
You learn to take Cheerios to church to keep her quiet while she feeds them to "YOU".
You learn there is nothing so peaceful as rocking a tired little toddler to sleep and sometimes falling asleep with them.
You learn nothing melts your heart like a big hug and hearing her excitedly say GRANDMA! when she sees you.
A package of giggles, a bundle of joy, a sweet escape from the trials of life.
That's my granddaughter Kiersten, making every day like Christmas.
