This an Althea...
Also called the Rose of Sharon.
And known to botanists and the like as "Hibiscus syriacus"
I used to have one of these in the front yard... until I moved....
now it's in someone else's front yard... right next to the water faucet....
Sigh. I miss my fellow Althea.
We complimented each other well.

The Althea is described as a hardy plant, that grows best in a sunny spot, in a warm climate. It grows anywhere from six to twelve feet high, with a spread of six feet. The flowers are two and a half to four inches across, in colors ranging from white, through pink, to purple, the petals shading from pale at the edge to darker in the center. The flowers have no noticable fragrance.

Very nice, wouldn't you say?
Gosh, I certainly think so. And it is much nicer in reality, rather than on your blinking screen.

Remember, nothing stimulates the senses like real Life.

In case you are wondering:
No, I am not named after this beautiful example of flora.
