Before leaping to the silver screen, Ryan was a paper boy, waiter, and (like Josh Hartnett) worked in a video store. Ryan has a tattoo of the Japanese symbol "soul" on his arm. He says, "I had it done when I was shooting 'White Squall' because I was making all these though decisions in my life." Ryan hates watching himself on screen and doesn't think he's very cute. "I'm okay looking, I'm not repulsive," he says. Now that's an understatement! While filming "54," Ryan had to kiss a guy, but the scene was cut. That guy was Breckin Meyer, one of his real life friends.
Amanda's Opinion: In my opinion I think Ryan is a pretty cool guy. I never saw him in any movies but he seems like a good actor. I'm sure he will be doing many more. Lindsey's Opinion: I have never seen Ryan Phillipe's movies. But the way everyone makes over him he must be a really good actor. Maybe I'll get a chance to see his next movie.
