Meditation's an excellent way to relieve stress and clear your mind-and you don't have to twist your body into a pretzel to do it. Try these easy steps: 1. Sit comfortably in any position that lets you keep your back straight. Close your eyes. Imagine that your tailbone is rooted to the ground and you head is reaching upward. 2.Put your hands together like you're praying. Breathe quietly but deeply through your nose, making your exhalations longer than your inhalations. They don't have to be a particular lenght; just do what's comfortable. Your breathing will slow down naturally as you relax. 3.Focus on your hands and picture energy flowing into them through your arms. As you relax more, you can drop your hands into your lap. Do this exercise until you feel totally calm.
