Hiccup Help


Ugh, hiccups-where do those pesky things come from?  Well, doctors
tell us they're caused by a spasm of the diaphragm (the muscle that 
comtrols breathing).  Most remedies usually halt hiccups by incressing
carbon dioxide levels in the blood (who knew?).  Here are some of our 
proven faves:

*Hold your breath and swallow three times in a row.

*Drink water while holding your nose.

*Drink a glass of water from the opposite side of the glass (bend over
and do it upside down).

*Eat a spoonful of peanut butter.
