She kneels at the edge. Her hands bound behind her back, her heart
racing with terror, hair flying wildly in the wind. A dark figure stands
behind her, clad in all black, her cloak waving, dark hair and hood hiding
her face, revealing only a cruel smile that plays across her full blood
red lips. The kneeling woman turns as much as she can to stare up into
the face of her captor. Seeing the smile and the glittering rage in her
eyes, she cowers. Her captor reaches down with a velvet gloved hand and
lightly caresses her forehead, then roughly grabs her hair and jerks her
back to her original position. She cries out in pain and feels a boot against
her back, slamming her face first into the dirt. She turns her head to
one side and begins to beg for mercy. The other kneels beside her, there
is no compassion in her face, only the smile. A smile that speaks of evil
and a calm rage. The dark one stands, and reaches down again to take hold
of the helpless woman's hair, pulling her to her feet. She tries not to
cry out, but the weight of her body causes her to grunt and moan. They
both stand at the edge, the dark one pointing out over the world below
them. Showing her for a final time what she might have had. Reminding her
of the pain she caused by her stupid and childish actions. Tears course
down the woman's face, and again she begs for mercy, for her life. The
dark one leans forward, and speaks in her ear, "For your crimes" These
are the last words she ever hears, as she is shoved forward and plummets
into eternity. Her scream carried away on the winds, and a dull slap as
she hits bottom. The other turns and walks away.
