The Random Chaos that lives in my Brain.

I get thinking about a lot of different things, some thoughts pertaining to my own life directly and others....well, they don't really have to do with anything in particular, but I thought it would be cool to maybe start posting some of the topics and such that I find myself either thinking about or explaining to others. All I ask is that you butcher your way through this section WITH AN IMAGINATION. If you have no imagination, then you should leave my whole page entirely....... :) later dudes.

Time Travel

This is something that has bothered me for quite a while, actually since "Back to the Future 2" came out in 1990. Time travel. Is it possible? One would think that something like this is not possible in our time, but, if it is possible in another time, say 200 years from now, doesn't that mean it is possible in our time too, since people from that time could come back here. Maybe they have. I don't know. I read in a Science magazine in high school that read on the front cover, "TIME TRAVEL NOW POSSIBLE". So I read it and the article went on to explain that somewhere down in Nevada or thereabouts, they had this 5-mile long particle accelerator which had been responsible for sending a single electron back in time .003 of a second. Now, if that did happen, then there you go....time travel is possible. Another thing is the "Grandfather Scenario". I am sure you have heard of this dilemma. Say you went back in time and (god forbid) killed your grandfather. Logic dictates that at the exact moment you created the heinous deed, you would cease to exist. Your grandfather died, so he did not have your father as a son, and therefor, since your father was not born, neither were you. This makes sense, BUT, if you ceases to exist, how could you have made the trip back in time in the first place??? see? confusing stuff eh? This is a paradox...when basically something happens that physically should not and cannot happen. People also say how can you go into the future if it has not been written yet. Well, what if someone from the future came back and brought you home with them? You have travelled to a place that has not happened to you, but has to them. You get the point. see you later.

Music Video Persuasion

As you have read earlier and in other parts of this page, I plan to
continue my Film Studies at Capilano College come September. The courses
I am taking are varied and deal with topics such as Photography to
Computer Animation. However, the real reason I have signed up for this
course is to eventually direct Music Videos. Whether that be rock videos on
Much Music, classical videos on Bravo, etc..
There have been a few select music videos that I have payed close attention
to over the past few years. These videos are like mini-movies. Well,
that is what I believe. The first of these videos is "Scream" by Mickael
and Janet Jackson. You would know it if you have seen it. It takes
place in some sort of weird spaceship and they are hopping around in
zero-g. Michael also plays raquetball against a bunch of vases. This is
a perfect example of how much editing makes the video.
"Spice up your Life" by the Spice Girls is another mesmerizing video. It
is just so visually stimulating. I am pretty neutral when it comes to the
Spice Girls, I neither hate them nor listen to them. But they do have a
crack team of writers and directors working for them.
The last video I really liked was the one for "The Saint". It was about
two agents who had the ability to change their appearance with an assortment
of heads they carried around in a bag. This is a perfect example of how
some directors came hook up into believing that the video could be a movie.

Give Bob a break...

Bob Saget. Probably the only star on TV who I feel sorry for. Not
because he can't act, looks like a bird, and is affiliated with ABC, but
because of his stint as host of "Americas Funnest Home Videos".
Nowadays, when you watch the show, there are two NEW hosts, the always-ditzy Daisy
Fuentes and some other loser who I don't know his name. You see, when
Bob was host, he would have to read those stupid monologues that everyone
thought HE wrote, but it was his writers, so don't give Bobby a bad time.
Bob was responsible for all those crazy voices while a video was playing.
And even in his show, he subliminally tried to express his digust in the
writer's monologues.
Just remember that Bob is cool and it was not his own material he was
spouting out during the show. Please forgive him. If you want his
email address, let me know. I may have, but probably not. Actually, I
KNOW I don't so just ignore that last comment.

Same start, same ending, but still fantastic...

Queen, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and Guns N Roses. Four bands that I have gotten to know well enough over the past decade. But something really stands out about all four bands. That something is that they have all released at least one incredibly epic song. Queen gave us Bohemian Rhapsody, which was totally sensationalized by "Wayne's World". Then came the infamous "Stairway to Heaven" one of Page and Plants finest works to date. Metallica brought the lesser known "Fade to Black" which can be found on the "Ride the Lightning" album, and then of course was "November Rain" by GNR which finished off with the very remorseful, but still hopefull guitar solo courtesy of Slash. These songs all start off with a quiet chorus, but by the end, you are being audibly bombarded by singing vocals or guitars. I hope to offer these songs soon as *.mp3 files, so keep your eyes open!!
