I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY (The Bicentennial Remix)

The Bicentennial Remix of "I should be so lucky" lasts for exactly 6mins 15seconds, which is almost double the length of the original "I should be so lucky" track. There is nothing very unique about this remix and it really doesn't feel very much like a 'remix' more like an 'extended version'. There is no feel to the track that isn't there in the original version, in fact the instrumental musical at the beginning of the song doesn't help the song at all.

The only different thing during the entire song is a thump throughout the song, which actually plays louder than the singing voice or the lovable tune. This too is very off putting.

The only bit of this remix I like is where "So lucky" is repeated over and over again near the middle of the track, which then cleverly comes back into the pace of the track. This sequence does fit in very well.

However, "I should be so lucky" is still better than this remix track, despite the increased length of this track. There just isn't a feeling of anything new in the track.

I should be so lucky (New Remix)

Entitled simply the "new remix", this track is VERY similar to the above remix, and is almost undoubtedly remixed by the same people. Instead of the thumping beat throughout the track we get a replacement of a rather annoying Xylophone noise be played throughout the entire song and some annoying beats at terrible moments during the song.

The track is 5mins 30seconds, making it just over 2 minutes longer than the original version of this song. Once again though it feels as if it is more like an 'extended version' than a remix at all. To give the "Bicentennial remix" some credit, it did try at moments to do something. While this tracks only new moments are an annoying whistle sound and the Xylophone beats.

It seems that no one can deviate this track enough to make it into a good remix, give up on the "I should be so lucky" remixes unless someone is willing to be more creative than these two mixes.
