1. Anne
   The emotional third-season opener finds the Slayer striking out on her own. After killing Angel and getting kicked out by her mom last season, Buffy fled Sunnydale. Hoping to find meaner pastures, she moved to the city where she intends to keep a low profile by assuming a new identity. But as Giles hunts for his missing pupil and the gang takes care of the slaying, Buffy is pulled back into the game when a devilish stranger begins preying on homeless teens. The encounter takes Buffy to Hell and back (literally), forcing her to examine the wreckage of her past and the anguish she's caused those she left behind.

2. Dead Man's Party
   As Buffy Sarah Michelle Gellar tries to make amends with her mom and the gang, a flock of unstoppable zombies pops up in Sunnydale. And when they crash her welcome-home party, Buff gets a chance to prove to her loved ones that she won't let them down again.

3. Faith, Hope & Trick
   NEW KIDS IN TOWN
   Just as Buffy tries to return to her normal life of going to school, hanging out with friends and saving the world, she is faced with the arrival of an ancient, cloven-hoofed villain and his blood-sucking sidekick, Mr. Trick. Another new Sunnydale arrival, Faith, helps Buffy in her battle against the unspeakable demons and ingratiates herself into every aspect of Buffy's life.

4. Beauty and the Beasts
   ALL MEN ARE BEASTS
   When a Sunnydale High student is found savagely mauled in the woods, Willow fears that Oz in werewolf mode might somehow be responsible for the violent murder. Meanwhile, Buffy secretly discovers that Angel has returned after 100 years of hellish torture, and she suspects that he is the murderous culprit, has changed.

5. Homecoming
   THE THRILL OF THE HUNT
   With Cordelia flaunting her sure win in the race for Homecoming Queen, she awakens the Prom Queen from within Buffy, who tries to enlist the entire gang to help her show Cordy how it's done, but some of their allegiances may be elsewhere. Meanwhile, the blood-sucking Mr. Trick assembles a host of killers in Sunnydale for a thrilling hunt to the death to bring down the two slayers.

6. Band Candy
   AGE BEFORE DEMON
   Buffy is forced to grow up even faster when Mr. Trick executes a devious plot to render the town defenseless by causing Sunnydale's adult population to inexplicably behave as irresponsible adolescents. Meanwhile, Buffy struggles to keep Angel's return and recovery a secret while her mom and Giles conspire to schedule her 24 hours a day.

7. Revelations
   TOUGH LOVE
   Tempers run hot when the gang learns of Angel's return and Buffy's harboring this vicious killer, but they all must band together to fight a demon who has arrived in Sunnydale in search of a highly powerful weapon. Meanwhile, Faith meets her new watcher, a brisk Englishwoman who is disdainful of Giles' haphazard operations.

8. Lovers Walk
   SPIKE'S BACK
   Just as Buffy enjoys a minute to revel in her S.A.T. scores and ponder her bright future, the underworld version of Sid Vicious, Spike, returns to Sunnydale a fallen man, a pathetic shell of his former self who has been left in the dust by his love Drusilla and is back to punish every one who is to blame, especially Angel. Meanwhile, Willow prepares a de-lusting spell to keep her and Xander's hormones in check during a double bowling date with Cordelia and Oz.

9. The Wish"
   BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR
   Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
   Cordelia, wanting to be rid of all things Xander and his spooky entourage, decides that all of her troubles started when Buffy moved to Sunnydale and wishes that historic event never actually happened. Not knowing that a an evil genie would grant her fateful wish, Cordelia is transported into an altered reality in which the Hellmouth is open and The Master is alive and ruling, with Willow and Xander as his undead minions.

10. "Amends" - (A Buffy Christmas)
    ANGELS GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS PAST
    As Buffy and her friends make plans for a quiet Christmas vacation, Angel is haunted by visions of his violent, demonic past, including the ghost of Jenny Calendar. Meanwhile, Willow goes to great, seductive lengths to try to convince Oz that he is the one for her; and Xander painfully adjusts to his life without Cordelia.

11. "Gingerbread"
    THE SUNNYDALE WITCH HUNT
    Picking the worst possible night for a surprise "mother-daughter bonding" visit with Buffy, Joyce is haunted by the discovery of two murdered children and feels compelled to take drastic action. When Giles suggests that the killings appear to be an occult sacrifice, Joyce rallies the entire adult population of Sunnydale behind a Salem-like witch hunt, leading the murderous mob directly to Willow and Buffy.

12. "Helpless"
    COMING OF AGE
    For her upcoming 18th birthday, Buffy eschews her friends' offer of a big party, hoping to celebrate with quiet reflection and a traditional trip to the ice show with her father. But unbeknownst to Buffy, preparations are being made for a life-threatening rite of passage that drains the slayer of her powers and then entraps her with a powerful vampire foe that she must defeat in a defenseless state in order to pass the test.

13. "The Zeppo"
    ODD MAN OUT
    Xander's lack of slaying superpowers has him feeling painfully expendable, but his quest to prove he's cool leads him to an unforgettable night that finds him consorting with fast women, raising the dead and rolling with a dangerous crowd that could put Sunnydale in a world of hurt. Meanwhile, Buffy, Giles and the rest of the crew engage in a furious battle with an all-female apocalypse cult that intends to reopen the Hellmouth and bring about the end of the world.

14. "Bad Girls"
    TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE
    A taste of the wild life leaves Buffy wanting more, and while Sunnydale is being inhabited by a long-dead demon and his vampire minions, Buffy follows Faith into her irresponsible world of reckless slaying abandon. Meanwhile, Giles fights to maintain his sanity in the face of the pompous and stuffy new watcher, while Willow, Xander and Oz ponder their options for life after high school.

15. "Consequences"
    KEEP THE FAITH
    Buffy is haunted by the consequences of her and Faith's reckless behavior as she battles with Faith's apparent lack of remorse to keep her from continuing on her destructive path. Meanwhile, the new watcher Wesley overrides Giles' objections and instructs Buffy and Faith to get to the bottom of the recent murder, while the Mayor and Trick are thrilled by the possibility of imprisoning a slayer for the murder.

16. "Doppelgängland"
    A VAMPIRE WILLOW PREYS ON SUNNYDALE
    Buffy and the real Willow must save the day when from the bleak alternate universe in which vampires rule Sunnydale, Willow's blood-sucking doppelganger is brought forth into this world and wreaks havoc and confusion on Sunnydale. Meanwhile, Buffy goes into full training mode so she can ace out Faith on the Watchers Council tests, while Faith's unholy new alliance is already paying handsome dividends.

17. Revelations"

1. When She Was Bad
   Buffy returns to Sunnydale after spending the summer in LA with her fater. She most save Xander and Willow from a vamp right away. They describe their summer and before the vamp interrupted they almost kissed. Miss Calendar saves Giles from another Sneider pep talk, at school. They are very happy to see each other and the rest of the gang shows up. Xander and Willow trade money on a bet about Giles checking his books about something. That night Angel tells Buffy that Colin is up to something, he is hurt she isn't happy to see him, and is mean. She DANCES with Xanders at the Bronze after insulting Angel. Cordy tells her to get over her problem and is kidnapped. Buffy leaves Giles, Willow and Xander alone in the Library to go get Cordy back and they are all kidnapped. They find then, Buffy fights they vamps and Angel and Xander get Giles, Miss Calendar, Willow and Cordy down. Buffy finally samashes the Masters bones in power and cries on Angels shoulder. At school the next day, Buffy is hesitant to go to class, but sees her friends forgave her and things are back to normal.

2. Some Assembly Required
   After four girls were killed in an accident, two guys cut up their bodies to make a girlfriend for one boys dead brother. Only they needed a fresh head to make her complete. There options were: Buffy, Willow and Cordelia. They after Cordy at football game. Buffy save her just in time, and the body and brother were destroyed in a fire. Giles and Ms.Calendar go on their first date this show.

3. School Hard
   Buffy and a bad kid in at SH are put on parent teacher preparation as a way to make friends with Snyder. Xander stupidly curses the event and Spike and Drusilla show up. Spike killed 2 other Slayers, and goes after Buffy. Angel warns them about his creation and disapears. Spike attacks P/T night and Buffy has to keep everyone safe an not let her identity out. She takes them and only two people get killed. Her mom is proud that she cares for others in a crisis. Spike kills the Annointed One and takes over.

4. Inca Mummy Girl
   Xander and a new exchange student fall in love, but his terrible taste in women comes back to haunt him. She's not a bug, she's not a Vamp, but she is dead. She's a 500 year old Incan Princess. A curious student broke the seal holding her in the tomb and she escaped. Only she has to feed on the life force of others to stay alive, and she freeze-dries them so they look like mummies too. She kissed Xander but stoped herself short of killing him. When she senses Giles putting the seal back together she attacks him, throws him and Buffy into her tomb, and attackes Willow, but Xander stops her. She won't hurt him and shrivles up and breaks apart, her arms still around Xander. Buffy tells him later that she wasn't evil to start with, she was 16 and had her live taken away because of tradition.

5. Reptile Boy
   Frat party to drug girls so they can feed their giant snake. The snake is worshiped like a god and the boys in the Fraturnity are all made rich because they feed it three young girls every year. The leader of the group is very nice and likeable unlike the others, who are rood and annoying. He suckers you in and they drug you and take you to the basement. Angel and Buffy had a little falling out in the graveyeard the night before and he wouldn't go for a cup of coffee to talk. When Buffy and Cordielia go to the party she asks Willow and Xander not to say anything to Giles and she lies and says that she and her mom are sick, to get the night off. When they find out that the Frats are behind a string of disappearances dating back to the 1950's Willow has to tell Giles and Angel where Buffy is. And she takes this chance to yell at them both for the cruel ways they have been treating her. Angel is very disturbed to think that Buffy is in danger, and shows his Game Face before they use Xander in a rob to sneak in. They get Buffy, Cordy and the girl out and Giles says he is sorry for not giving her any free time and why he does that. Later at a coffee house, Angel shows up and asks Buffy out for coffee sometime there. She smiles and leaves, having got respect finally from Giles and Angel.

6. Halloween
   Buffy thinks that Angel will pay more attention to her if she looks like the girls her hang around when he was young. She buys an old style dress, Willow buys a ghost costume, and Xander buys a gun at a new place in town. Buffy dresses Willow up like she would dress, she looks really sexy, but chickens out when Xander gets to the house. On Halloween after pciking up the kids they were guiding, all of the costums from the Ethans, became what they were. Buffy became an 1800th century nobal woman, Willow became a ghost, Xander became a soldier, and the kids became demons. We learn that Giles may not be what we thought he was after all. He knows Ethans, and beat him up badly to make him give up the spell on the cotumes. He called Giles the Ripper, and said he would be back. Angel told Buffy he didn’t like to women in his time because they were so boring, he wanted a fun and exciting girl ( maybe why he started dated Slayers?).

7. Lie To Me
   An old, fifth grade, crush of Buffy’s comes to town and wants to present her to Spike in Exchange for a vampires immortality. (not seen yet)

8. The Dark Age
   We learn that in university Giles rebels against his watcher heritege and went to London where he joined a group who called the demon to get a high. Now the demon is hunting down the members and killing by tracking a tattoo each members had put on their arms. Jenny is taken over by the demon and hunts Giles and Ethan. Ethan gives Buffy the tattoo to Buffy and destroys his to get Eygon off his trail. Willow, Xander, and Cordy research the demon and call Angel. The demon, once put in danger jumps from Jenny into Angel, where HIS demon destroys it. After this Jenny is scared of Giles and stays away.

9. What's My Line Parts 1 & 2
   Spike must translate a coded book to find a cure for Drus illness but when ever he makes some way Buffy shows up. He calls for an ancient group of assassins to kill Buffy. Meanwhile it is career week at school, but Buffy knows that she can never be normal. She tells this to Angel and he asks her to go skating on Tuesday. At the rink the first assassin attacks Buffy, Angel arrives and Buffy slits his throat with her skate. A second attack by a polic woman, at school, gets OZ shot in arm. Buffy is very spoked and goes to Angel apartment, where she is attacked by the new Slayer, Kendra. Kendra has locked Angel in a metal cage in the path of the rising sun where he is trapped. Buffy convinces Kendra to talk to Giles and they figure her out. Angel is saved just in time by the bar tender, who throws Angel down into the sewer to a waiting Spike, who pays him off. Giles is worried about Buffy and tells Xander to call Cordy to drive him to her house to check. When they arrive, Xander breaks in through a window and Cordy invites an assassin with make-up in. Xander sees worms on the man and he and Cordy run for the basement. They tape the door and wait until they think he is gone. When they are sick of each other they fight about Cordy going and in a few seconds are in a very passionate kiss. When they come out, the BUG MAN attacks Cordy and Xander sprays the bugs off with the garden hose in the front yeard. When Angel is presented to Dru, she tortures him for killing her family. They translate the book using the special cross and take Angel to a church for the ceremony. There Spike drives a knife into Dru and Angels hands causing the transfere to begin to heal Dru. The bar tender betrays Buffy and takes her to the waiting assassins at the church, but Kendra returns to Giles for help. Just as they are going to kill Buffy, Giles hits the vamp with an arrow. They all fight and Buffy introduces Kendra to Spike. They all fight, Xander and Cordy kill the BUG MAN with glue, and Buffy saves Angel. Spike grabs Dru, they run, Buffy wacks him, and he falls into the pipe organ, which comes down on them. Buffy then holds Angel in her arms very carefully, later Kendra helps Buffy get Angel out. At school the next day, Buffy thanks Kendra for helping to save Angel, and Willow thanks OZ for saving her life, and the they talk about animal crackers. The lat scene shows Dru picking Spike up and promising to make him stronge again like her, and she looks mean.

10. TED
    Buffy finds that her mother is dating a master chef, and she hates it. Buffy goes to Angel to wine whiel she bandages his hand. At a Mini Golf game, Ted catches Buffy cheating and totally goes berserk on her. Giles goes to see Jenny about a shipment of her books that arrived at the library, they talk and she tells him to stop checking up on her and he leaves hurt. Buffy asks Willow to check Ted out on the Net. Buffy goes to where Ted works to check him out. There she learns that Ted is already marry Joyce, and she asks that night at diner. She goes to her room and leaves by the window. When she gets back Ted is in her room and has read her diary and went through her things. She is very angry and they fight, Ted threatens to go to Joyce with the diary if Buffy doesn't behave. He starts to leave with it and Buffy stops him, they argue and he hits her in the face, she is happy because now she can fight back. They fight and Buffy kicks him down the stairs, Joyce follows, and tells her that he is dead. The polic question Buffy and send her home. Buffy feels very ashamed for getting out of control. At the home that night she tries to talk to Joyce, who sends her to her room. There she sees the window has been nailing shut, and Ted is behind the curtains, they fight and he knocks her out and goes after Joyce. Willow finds that he used a sedative in his food to make people like him, and explains that is way they all loved his cooking. Willow, Xander and Cordy find his apartment and the remains of his other six wives in a closet. Buffy wakes up and goes downstairs to help her mom. She gets Ted in to the kitchen where she hits him with a frying pan and then sees that he is a ROBOT. Buffy hits him again and he deactivates. The next day, Buffy and mom are talking on the porch about how creepy Ted was, and Buffy asures her that he won't come back.

11. Bad Eggs
    An evil prehistoric bug is laying eggs that are being given out the students of Sunny Dale High in biology class. When the eggs hatch they attach themselves the person closest. Buffy is able to fight hers off, and Xander cooks his egg and almost eats it. The people are under the control of the mother bug. They bugs take over Willow, Cordy, Joyce, Giles,and other students who go into the basement and dig out the mother and more of the eggs. This isn't Buffy's only problem, Buffy is attacked by to wild west vamps, who pop up again during the dig. She creams the mother parasite, freeing everyone, comes up all covered in slime. The vamps are spooked and go away. Buffy and Xander pass it around that there was a gas leak and everyone was caught in it, but things are OK now. Strangely enough they all believe it. Or just don't want to think about what really happened. Cordy and Xander are still doing the closet thing here.

12. Surprise From the offical page
    The fate of the world is at stake when Spike and Drusilla gather the dismembered body parts of The Judge -- a demon with a deadly touch -- from the ends of the earth as their ultimate weapon to extinguish The Slayer. Meanwhile, Angel's ability to feel human emotion is in jeopardy when he and Buffy share an intimate moment which threatens to destroy his soul.

13. Innocence
    After Buffy shares an intimate moment with Angel which extinguishes his human souls, she is left with the realization that she must destroy the now-evil Angel who has transformed into his previous persona of Angelus. Meanwhile, Giles' relationship with Jenny Calendar takes on a new twist when he discovers that she is a member of the gypsy family who gave Angel his human soul and Willow's hopes of a relationship with Xander are dashed when she discovers Xander and Cordelia's secret romance.

14. Phases
    WEREWOLF IN SUNNYDALE
    When a werewolf descends upon the city of Sunnydale, it is up to Buffy and the gang to protect the mostly-human being from an evil poacher who is hunting the animal for sport. Meanwhile, much to Xander's dismay, Willow turns her romantic interests to Oz, unaware of the danger she is about to face.

15. Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered
    EVERYONE LOVES XANDER
    When Cordelia succumbs to peer pressure and breaks off her tryst with Xander, on Valentine's Day, he convinces Amy to put a spell on Cordelia which will make her fall in love with him. But when the spell backfires, the women in Sunnydale, except Cordelia, and including Buffy and Drusilla begin to see Xander in a whole new light.

16. Passion
    IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT
    Angel's obsession with tormenting Buffy takes a dangerous turn when he starts edging closer to her heart - and home, forcing Buffy to have a serious talk with her mom. Meanwhile, Jenny is doing everything in her power to right her wrongs, especially the one with Giles.

17. Killed By Death
    THE GHOST OF CHILDHOOD PAST
    Buffy is admitted to the hospital with a raging fever where she encounters a young child who brings with him nightmares of Buffy's past and present. Meanwhile, a jealous Cordelia looks on as Xander protects a weakened Buffy from Angel's fury.

18. I Only Have Eyes For You
    LOVE IS FOREVER
    Buffy encounters a tortured spirit haunting the halls of Sunnydale High and recruits her friends to help the bitter spirit in its quest for peace. Meanwhile, Giles is filled with anguish when he believes the spiritual being is Jenny trapped and trying to impart a final message to him from the beyond.

19. Go Fish
    SOMETHING FISHY
    When a monster starts preying on members of the high school swim team, Buffy takes it upon herself to become the protector of the star players. Meanwhile, Xander goes undercover to discover the truth about the missing teammates and ends up revealing a rarely seen side of himself.

20. Becoming (Part One of a Two-Part Season Finale)
    A web of conspiracy, suspense and heart break surround the second season finale.
    Buffy determines the time has come to destroy Angel and must ascertain if she is ready to sacrifice all she knows to be true to do so, but her decision is further entangled when Willow uncovers the secret that may restore Buffy's former beloved. Elsewhere, Angel chooses to unearth an evil demon that could swallow the earth and all of the beings, rather than return to the arms of his former lover.
21. Becoming (Part Two of a Two-Part Season Finale)
    The suspense continues as hell prepares to swallow the world and Buffy is left alone to stop it. With Giles in the hands of the enemy and Angel primed for destruction, our slayer is forced into some treacherous alliances and faced with life-changing decisions.
