I've tried so many times, Dear Mom
To write my thanks to you
For all your love and tender care
Your prayers and blessings too;
But seems the words would never come-
The ones that had to be,
To tell you just the way I feel
And what you mean to me.
Your life has been a sacrifice
In sewing young and old:
In sorrows, heartaches and hardships
You came forth pure as gold.
The memories that I have today
On this dear Mother's Day
That your true love and faith in God,
Though tested, did not sway.
I am so grateful to my God
And I shall ever be.
For favoring me so very much
By giving you to me.
I have one goal I hope to teach
