TRACKS: 1.Cassandra (Cheap Wine Edit) 2.Aeode 3.Cassandra (Album Version) This is Theatre of Tragedy's latest single release. The songs "Cassandra" and "Aeode" are found on their full legnth album, Aégis, which came out just this past year. I had heard about the change in Theatre of Tragedy's style, but I had to hear it to believe it. Yes, Raymond's growl is practically non existant, replaced with clean singing and whispering. Also missed is the prominent voice of Liv. She doesn't seem to appear as much in these songs. At first, I disliked the new style. But, it grew on me. The songs on "Cassandra" are interesting and easy to listen to. I do not regard Theatre of Tragedy as a metal band however, and I'm sure their other fans will think the same. The metal lovers may stray from this band. However, I can say that although Theatre of Tragedy is now different, the change may be for the best. Who knows what is to come. A band has to develop, and this is what Theatre of Tragedy has done. But as for "Cassandra", it seemed a bit short in legnth for the price I paid. it's a good album, but I would suggest getting the full legnth album, "Aégis" instead. RATING:
