Hole's Live Through This came out in 1994...The day after Kurt Cobain was
found dead of a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. I guess I should
not be mentioning Kurt when I am speaking of Hole. But I would say that his 
death most probably had an effect on the reactions to this album. And at 
first, because of the tragedy of Kurt's death, nobody even paid attention to
it. This twelve song album probably deserves some recognition. From Sunday
stripper and junkie to rock star and admirable woman, Courtney love deserves 
the credit for reaching her longtime goal. The songs on "Live Through This"
are packed with so much emotion, it almost makes you blush. And I like, and
have always liked an album with interesting lyrics. This is one of Courtney's
trademarks. She is not, obviously, the best musician or the best vocalist,
but Hole's sound is meant to be true and raw on this album , for the most part.
This is classic. It's one of those albums that you grow up with.
