Norweigian band, Theatre of Tragedy.

Theatre of Tragedy is definitely a unique band. Their sound 
is atmospheric black metal, including sounds of classical piano 
and strings.  Theatre of Tragedy has two vocalists, Raymond L. 
Rohoni, a death vocalist and also singing is the unforgetable 
Liv Kristine Espenes. She does soprano vocals and her voice 
is beautiful. The death metal with the classical touches provides 
an interestingand pleasing contrast in the music of Theatre of 
Tragedy. One of the most amazing things about this band is 
their lyrics. Written by vocalist Raymond L. Rohonyi, the 
words to the songs of Theatre of Tragedy are written in 
an old English, almost Shakespearian style. They are in the 
forms of plays, poems and soliloquys.

Theatre of Tragedy was formed in winter of 1992. The band was 
finalized in 1994. At this time, Theatre of Tragedy's guitarist 
was Pal Bjastad. He later quit the band and is now replaced 
with Geir Flikkeid. Theatre of Tragedy's debut album was released 
in May, 1994. It received many excellent reviews in Norway as 
well as in many other realms of the world. Theatre of Tragedy 
are now signed to Massacre Records. They have three full legnth 
albums as well as two mini CDs and a single.Their new album, 
Aegis, is now out.
