I was addicted to this CD when I bought it. Theatre of Tragedy make really nice, atmospheric gothic/doom metal. It's difficult to catagorize their music. With the rough vocals of Raymond and the pretty female soprano voice of Liv in contrast, Velvet Darkness they Fear" makes a very good album. It totals up to around fifty two minutes of their entrancing sound. Almost all songs are strong, and interestngly, the lyrics are written in old English almost Shakespearian style. "And When He Falleth" contains a dialogue from an old movie, "The Masque and the Red Death" (starring Vincent Price). The album in its entirety is very good, and the production is excellent. I strongly recomend it. RATING:
