ABC's 1.0 For Windows 9x (327 kb)  ABC's is for Windows95/98. It's for kids or tots of course. Although it might help someone learning to speak English. Kids can press Letters of the alphabet and a dialog will show the letter and a voice tells what that letter is. Then by hitting the space bar the dialog disappears. They also can play the whole alphabet. If you don't like the voice....just record your voice over the wav. files.

LearnWith 1.00.24-beta For Windows 95/NT4 (8.5 mb) (Note, this also installs Microsoft Agent and L&H Truvoice engine) LearnWith is an educational software program designed to enhance the instruction and retention of knowledge. It centers around the concept of 'digital notecards', whereby students can flash, quiz, or otherwise study with them. Letter Chase Typing Tutor 1.1 For Windows 9x (1 mb) Letter Chase Typing Tutor for Windows 95 is a full featured Freeware typing instructor for both beginners and advanced typists. LotkaVolt 1.0 For Windows 9x/NT (346 kb)  A simple Lotka-Volterra type 2-species simulation. Given (for example) predator and prey numbers and the (algebraic) rate of change of each, watch the evolution as the two species interact and compete. Sample configurations (predator-prey, epidemic, etc.) and source code included. 

Math Tools 1.0 for Win9x/NT4 (12 kb) Math tools is just a little program that will solve a quadratic equation, the pythagoren theorem, and has a temperature converter. Many more features coming soon. 

Mysto The Mindreader 6.32 For Win95 (1.7 mb)Mysto The Mindreader is an educational game that modifies itself and gets smarter as it is used. This version has 5 BRAINS (categories).

Phonetic Alphabet 1.0 for Windows 95/NT (191 kb) A learn to read tool for little kids. It simply displays the alphabet and phonetically says the letter sound when the letter is clicked or pressed. It requires Windows95 and a sound card, 800x600 screen resolution. To install unzip using pathname and add shortcut to it. Easily customizable using your own voice 

Quadratic Equation Evaluator 2.5 For Windows 9x(18 kb)  This is a Quadratic Equation Evaluator. It will do Quadratics with and without rational numbers and will also do Imaginary Numbers. Requires the Visual Basic 5.0 Runtime files that can be found at authors webpage. 

RAM 1.0 For Win9x/NT4 (284 kb)  RAM (Reading Acceleration Machine) lets you read textual material from your monitor at a speed you set. It has been designed to accelerate the comprehension of foreign-language texts, but it can be used for vocabulary-learning and speed-reading practice as well. 

Res Neuronum 1.2 For Win 95 (1.4 mb)  Res Neuronum is a software program simulating Neural Networks. Version 1.2 contains the module BackPropagation.dll which is full functioning. Different kinds of network-configurations with unlimited number of layers and neurons can be set as well as pattern-sets and a lot of necessary parameters such as learning rate, adaptive learning etc. Of course also the possibility to recall various patterns is contained in the program and as an extra bonus an algorithm to optimize the networks' structure. Help will be given not only about how to handle the program but also on some fundamentals of Neural Networks and their biological background. Tegne.zip 1.0 For Win95 (80 kb)  Elementary drawing program for children. That can say the colors in 5 languages.Norwegian, Danish, Spanish, Punjabi and English. (The desired sound files must be downloaded separately.) The exit icon can be removed. The keyboard can be set aside as its not used with this program. Small children can then play with it by themselves. 

ViSta -- Visually Guided Statistics 5.02 For Win s32 95/NT (1.1 mb)  A free a statistics package for 16 or 32-bit Win3.x, Win95, NT, UNIX/Linux, MAC 680x0 or PowerPC, with free documentation and useful links.
