The Fights

The door opens,
The room winces,
The walls know,
Windows rattle with excite,
The plywood bends beneath my feet,
In anticipation of the fight,

The world narrows,
My pulse quickens,
How could I fail,
You take a deep breath,
And move closer,
And I exhale...

I could of tried less I laughed,
At the nightclub, the bar, the town,
To be everyone's Ms. America,
Come to claim my crown,

You could of tried harder,
Just to be here without greed,
With me and the rest of the us,
Tomorrow, a new day,
