QUICKIE CUFF BRACELET INSTRUCTIONS

Cuff Bracelet Cuff Bracelet
Make the embellishment motifs-however many you want on your bracelet. I used either gold colored metal spacers or bead rondels, seed beads and 4mm druks. Then cut two pieces of leather just a little larger than your cuff blank. Using wire snips, round the ends of your blank and file smooth. I used ordinary finger nail file on mine. Form your bracelet around your wrist (gently). (The ones I used were alum. but Judith said don't buy alum. as they break too easy. I used what I had.) Spread E-6000 glue on the inside of the blank and on the back side of one of the leather strips (don't go all the way to the edge), let this set up for a few minutes, then press leather to inside of blank (start in middle and smooth outwards). Arrange motifs (or what you are putting on the bracelet) on other strip of leather until you are pleased with the arrangement. I sewed directly on to leather but I wouldn't do that again. Attach beading to buckrum strip that is smaller than leather strip. (If you use the buckrum, the bracelet must be really full so that the buckrum doesn't show through the beads.) I attached my primary pieces and then filled in with various shades of green to indicate leaves. Some are just short lengths of branch fringe, some are loops and some are leaf shaped. strung leaf Attach your beaded strip to top leather strip (glue and sew), apply glue to top of blank and back of top leather strip. Let set-up , then press together (smooth outwards). Trim leather carefully around ends and edges as necessary. Sew two pieces of leather together with a beaded edge. I used a single row of brick stitch.. And PRESTO (NOT) you have a motif covered cuff bracelet.
